1 cup oatmeal
1 tsp. salt
1 cup hot water
2 eggs
1/2 cup Crisco
1 3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup flour
3/4 cup raisins (dates, nuts, or currants)
1 tsp. baking soda
Cook together oatmeal, salt and hot water.
Add eggs, crisco and brown sugar.
Mix in flour raisins and baking soda.
Bake @ 325F for 1 hour.
