We're going to Chicago for vacation can anyone recommend a good hotel close to the water?

We want to stay on Lakeshore Drive with a view of the water. We want to go to the Sears Tower, Geno's East Pizzeria and The Museum of Science and Industry. Is there any hotel that's close to all of those things? It doesn't have to be on Lakeshore Drive, I'm not real familiar with that area and I don't even know if those things are close to each other or not. We'd like to not spend more than $150 a night.

The Sears Tower is located in the southwest section of downtown, approximately 1 mile west of Lake Shore Drive.Geno's has multiple locations. The closest are approximately 1 mile north of downtown and less than 2 miles west of Lake Shore Drive.The Museum of Science and Industry is approximately 8 miles south of downtown and within walking distance of Lake Shore Drive.Since you requested hotels close to the water and near Lake Shore Drive, I picked some near downtown locations that are within walking distance of downtown and shopping. Geno's and Sears are within 2 miles of these locations. But the Museum is 8 miles south. Visit the source links I posted below and check them out. I never stayed at any of them because I live nearby.Hotels in the summertime and near the lake charge premium prices. If they are too high in price, then you will have to google search for hotels in zip codes 60601, 60611, and 60604.

Try Hotwire.It doesn't tell you the exact hotel but will tell you the area and how many stars and price.I know they have some on the Museum Campus.

try Days Inn on Harrison St. or the Red roof Inn on Ontario. Both are downtown. The Museum of Science and Industry is down in the Hyde Park neighborhood, 5700 south, about 20 minutes drive south of the City. Sears Tower is downtown on Adams St. and Geno's is also in the city. If you download a map of chicago and place a red dot with a marker on all the place you will visit, you can then choose a hotel that's in the middle of it all.
