Bake white cake mix in paper baking cups as directed on package. Remove papers. Prepare chocolate fudge frosting mix as directed on package.
Put 2 cupcakes together end to end with frosting to form logs. Frost sides, leaving ends of logs (tops of cupcakes) unfrosted. With tines of fork, make lines in frosting to resemble bark. Decorate each log with a hatchet cut from construction paper.
