Baker's Secret Sugar Cookie Hearts

1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tbsp. vanilla
3 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp baking soda

1 cup sifted confectioners' sugar
2 tbsp. milk
Multicolored nonpareils (sprinkles or other decorations)
Makes approx. 6 dozen cookies
Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Blend in eggs and vanilla; mix well.
Stir together flour, salt and baking soda; mix into sugar mixture until well blended.
Chill 2 hours.
Heat oven to 350F.
Divide dough into quarters.
Roll out one quarter on lightly floured surface to 1/8" thickness.
Cut into heart shapes with 2" cutter; place on EKCO Baker's Secret cookie sheet.
Bake for 5 to 8 minutes or until cookies are barely browned at the edges.
Cool on wire rack.

Mix together confectioners' sugar and milk until smooth.
Spread on cookies; sprinkle with nonpareils.
