12 - 13 slices of bacon
1/3 cup packed dark brown sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
additional spice: 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper (optional)
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Place bacon side by side, on a parchment line baking sheet.
(I used a large baking sheet, that's 17.5" x 11.5" x .3/4" in size.,
plus I only used 9 slices of bacon for this recipe,
so I did have a bit of the spice mixture leftover.)
Mix together, the brown sugar, mustard, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Sprinkle spice mixture onto the slices of bacon.
Place baking sheet in oven, and cook bacon for about 17 minutes.
(I baked mine for exactly 16 minutes, and 30 seconds.)
After removing baking sheet from the oven,
immediately remove bacon from baking sheet, and onto a platter,
or the bacon will stick to the pan if it sets too long on the baking sheet.
Serve immediately, and enjoy!
