K Kara New member Mar 20, 2011 #3 If it hangs from a chain, no problem, open a few links and remove them, reconnecting the loose ends. If it hangs from a pipe, either buy a shorter pipe or cut the one you have. Hope this helps.Vaya con DIOS

A AmandaSue New member Mar 20, 2011 #4 The best thing to do is have an electrician change it. If that's not possible try a large Ty-rap from your home improvement store to tie it up.
