Empty into medium bowl... 1 pkg (3 oz) black cherry-flavored gelatin.
Add... 2/3 cup boiling water.
Stir until gelatin is dissolved.
Divide among 8 dessert dishes... 1 qt. vanilla ice cream or pineapple sherbet.
Spoon hot gelatin mixture over ice cream.
