Mocha Punch

[Cookie]

Chocolate syrup in the bottom of the glass gives this creamy treat a layered look. Whipped cream and grated chocolate add a special touch your guests will love.

4 cups hot strong prepared coffee (see Note)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
4 cups cold strong prepared coffee (see Note)
4 cups chocolate ice cream
4 cups vanilla ice cream
1/4 tsp. almond flavoring
3/4 cup chocolate syrup
36 ice cubes
Whipped cream, for garnish
Grated chocolate, for garnish
Serves 12
Measure hot coffee, sugar and salt into large bowl.
Stir until sugar is dissolved.
Add next 4 ingredients.
Stir until ice cream is melted.
Makes about 11 cups.
Transfer into pitcher.
Measure about 1 tbsp. chocolate syrup into each of 12 medium glasses.
Add 3 ice cubes to each.
Fill with ice cream mixture.
Garnish with whipped cream and grated chocolate.

Note:
For extra-strong flavor, use espresso.

Serving Suggestion:
Place small pitcher of chocolate syrup and a bucket of ice on buffet table.
Write directions for making 1 glass of punch on pretty recipe card and set it beside pitcher of punch.
Guests will have fun mixing their own drink!
Be sure to have plenty of whipped cream and grated chocolate available.
