Red grenadine settles to the bottom of the glass for an attractive, vibrant presentation. It's delicious, too.
1 cup orange juice
1/4 cup vodka (2oz)
2 tbsp. almond-flavored liqueur (such as Amaretto), 1oz
4 ice cubes
1/4 cup crushed ice
1/4 tsp. grenadine syrup
Serves 2
Measure orange juice, vodka and liqueur into cocktail shaker.
Add ice cubes.
Replace lid.
Hold firmly and shake vigorously until cold.
Strain through sieve into 2 cup liquid measure.
Makes about 1 1/3 cups.
Spoon crushed ice into 2 small glasses.
Pour orange juice mixture over top.
Drizzle each with grenadine.
Do not stir.
Serving suggestion:
Serve this drink in martini glasses to show of its color.
