Quick Jambalaya


1 pkg. (8 oz) brown and serve sausage links
2 cups uncooked instant rice
2 cups water
1 can (16 oz) stewed tomatoes
1 pkg. (12 oz) frozen cleaned raw shrimp (Rinse frozen shrimp under running cold water to remove ice glaze.)
2 tbsp. instant minced onion
2 tsp. instant chicken bouillon
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. thyme
1/4 tsp. chili powder
1/8 tsp. cayenne red pepper
1/2 cup frozen chopped green pepper

Cut sausage links into 1" diagonal slices. Place in skillet; brown as directed on package.

Add remaining ingredients except green pepper. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat; simmer uncovered 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in green pepper; heat through.
