Sparkling apple cider is a perfect partner to Madeira -- a sweet fortified wine that gives this drink its unusual color and taste.
4-5 ice cubes
3/4 cup sparkling apple cider
3 tbsp. Madeira wine (1 1/2oz)
1/8 tsp. grenadine syrup
1 fresh strawberry, for garnish
Serves 1
Put ice cubes into medium glass.
Add apple cider, wine and grenadine.
Stir gently.
Makes about 1 cup.
Garnish with strawberry.
