What are some money saving tips for the household?

I made up a slogan regarding lights being left on. If lights are on, they must be on for a reason. "Lights on for NO reason" go off!Launder the towels you dry your clean body off once per week instead of daily. (Make sure they are well vented to dry)Add water to empty "soap" bottles, this gives a little light soap for extra duty.Anyone do me better?

Simple things like... ... piling up partially used soap bars when they're wet. Let them dry together into a new full-sized bar and you don't have to throw them away anymore!... changing the filter on the furnace/AC BEFORE it gets clogged and yucky, enabling the unit to run more efficiently all year round.... Use a $5.00 wind-up alarm clock.Just a couple of ideas.

My sister and I use the empty plastic sacks they give at Wal-mart, Dollar General, and at the supermarket for trash bags for the small trash cans around the house!I buy shampoos, in large containers, at a good price, and then separate them into small bottles, especially one for when I travel !My sister buys the laundry soap in huge containers at a good price, and she splits it up into small containers, ;and this saves a lot of money!We buy margarine in large containers, and then put them in small containers to keep handy!When I buy razors, I buy the large bag with 10 or 12 and this saves money also !
