I would like my eggs to easily peel from the shell and not have a greenish yolk. Is there anything you can do or not do to create the 'perfect' hard-boiled egg?
i usually put the eggs in water, let it boil for five minutes, turn off the heat, let it sit covered for 30 minutes. Then run cold water and ice in it then its ready to be eaten. It always turns out perfect this way.
Put the eggs in a pot of cold water. Heat until the water boils. Turn the heat down until the water is barely boiling. Let it boil for 10 minutes, then immediately pour out the water, and run under cold water for a few minutes. Peel and eat.One other trick - the fresher the egg, the more the shell sticks, so you're better off boiling eggs that are not extremely fresh.
