What color should I paint my kitchen?

First time home owner so I've never picked out paint before. My kitchen has dark green and white floor tiles with a dark green backsplash and dark brown cabinets with white appliances. Anyone have any tips or suggestions on colors? Its also a fairly small kitchen I'm not sure if that matters at all.

Definitely a neutral color. Either, light green, beige, or creamm!!http://neptuneconstructiongroup.com/Portals/0/bigstockphoto_Beige_Kitchen_With_A_Large_Isl_1759680.jpghttp://www.chuguiwang.cn/upimg/allimg/080120/1005G06311.jpg

I think midnight blue would look really good with the colors you have but some people say that dark colors make a room look smaller, but I painted a room dark and it didn't look any smaller so I think it would be fine.

Paint it all white. It will make your small kitchen look so much bigger. Dark colors will close it down and you will feel trapped. It worked for me.

Sounds like a lovely kitchen you have, in my opinion I'd go with a beige like cream in coffee color on the light side. It will blend with your cabinets and not stand out like an eye sore. Get some paint chips from the store take them home and hold them up to your walls then stand back...and picture what it would be like to have a whole wall this color. Also ask the sales person to suggest the best type paint you want one that you can wash easy to care for. The finish is important too so it is does not affect your vision too much glare.
