The Parker House is right on the Freedom TrailBoston Cream Pie and Parker House rolls were created at The Parker House Hotel. BTW you can order dinners rolls to go and they sell slices of the pie in the gift shop.http://www.omnihotels.com/FindAHotel/BostonParkerHouse.aspx

We have good public transportation throughout the city via subway or bus or city train so any place can get you anywhere fairly fast and easy. The TD Banknorth Garden (or whatever it's current incarnation will be when you get this) isn't by much that is interesting, plus you could potentially get a better deal on a room somewhere else. If you are going to only one game then you should just take the "T" in, as it will cost no more than 4$ round trip to get there, and if you get a charlie card, you can pay less money as well as have transfers and what not. But here is a link of close by hotels.

I'd suggest you look up Boston hotels at TripAdvisor.com. They have comments on all the hotels from past guests. I use this site frequently and have never been steered wrong.

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely show you great hotels at the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.

Marriott Long WharfRennisance WaterfrontLiberty HotelI would say the Liberty is the closest to the TD Bank Garden. The Marriott Long Wharf is in the heart of Boston. But the Rennisance is the nicest and newest

I have lived a 5-minute walk from Boston Garden (I hate the new name, TDB BankNorth, whatever!) for 20 years. I would stay RIGHT in Faneuil Hall at a hotel that is actually very affordable and beautiful called the Millenium Bostonian, a 7-minute walk from there. The Parker House is also historic and pretty affordable and about a 15-minute walk but extremely small rooms (they did it over) and in Government Center overlooking the Boston Common and down the street from our State House. If you are younger, I'd choose the Millenium because of all the energy, shops, food, and carts at Faneuil Hall.Oh, and the best part, is that my neighborhood, the North End, our Little Italy, is RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET, you wanna talk about a fabulous, old neighborhood where the oldtimers still talk Italina, the best food, great upscale nightlife, and TONS of movies being filmed here almost every day!It is LITERALLY right out of a movie!
