Radiological Tech is someone with formal education and certification who takes x-rays. Usually referred to as an x-ray tech. There are people who take x-rays, usually in a doctor's office, who are not certified, but are allowed to work under his "supervision."A radiation therapist is someone with very specialized training in operating equipment that directs specific doses of radiation to cancer sites. Often a certified rad tech who has received more education and been certified as a therapist.Usually make more money then a rad tech.Both work under the direction and supervison of a Radiologist(MD.)Each field of work requires a thorough knowledge of human anatomy, involves intimate hands on patient contact, and a lot of technical knowledge. Only you can decide which would be best for you.
A radiologic technologist is the person who does x-rays, and with some additional training, can do mammograms, CTs, and MRIs.A radiation therapist administers targeted doses of radiation to the patient's body to treat cancer or other diseases. They make a lot more money than a radiologic technologist.A diagnostic medical sonographer does ultrasounds. They do a lot more than just look at babies.
