5 pounds dried pinto beans
1 gallon boiling water
1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
6 ounces chopped onions
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons salt
few drops hot pepper sauce
1 quart Beef Stock
Servings: 50
1. Wash beans. Add boiling water. Cover and let stand 1 hour or longer. Cook beans in the same water until tender, about 1 hour. Add more water if necessary. When beans are done, drain, reserving liquid for later step. Place cooked beans in mixer bowl and mash thoroughly.

2. Heat oil in frying pan. Add chopped onion. Cook until tender.

3. Add seasonings to onion and mix thoroughly. Add beef stock and mix well. Add mashed beans, mixing until well blended. Turn mixture constantly to keep from burning. Bean liquid in small amounts may be add if mixture becomes too thick. Cook bean mixture for 45-60 minutes or until dry.
