1/2 cup milk
12 ounces canned corn
1 tablespoon peanut oil
1 1/2 cups flour, unsifted
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
dash of pepper
Servings: 6
1. Beat egg in a large bowl. Stir in milk, can of corn with sweet peppers and 1 tbl of oil. Add and beat in flour, baking powder, salt and pepper.

2. Drop in tablespoons of the mixture into deep or shallow hot oil (375 degrees). Fry until golden brown, 2-3 minutes on each side.

3. Drain on paper towels. Serve hot. If desired serve with a syrup.
