Strawberry-Rhubarb Compote

1/2 cup water
1 pkg (16 oz) frozen rhubarb
2 tbsp. sugar
2 cups fresh strawberries
1/8 tsp. ginger

In medium saucepan, heat water to boiling. Add rhubarb and sugar; cook 5 minutes, breaking fruit apart with fork. Remove from heat; stir in strawberries and ginger. Serve warm or chilled.
