Refreshing taste. Ice with Fluffy Frosting and sprinkle with crushed rock candy.

1/2 cup margarine, softened
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
3 egg yolks, large
1 cup crushed pineapple, with juice
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 cup water
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 cups cake flour, sift before measuring
1 tbsp. baking powder
3 egg whites (large), room temperature
Makes 1 cake
Cream butter and sugar well in large bowl.
Beat in egg yolks.
Add pineapple, juice, vanilla water and salt.
Stir to mix.
Add flour and baking powder.
Stir slowly until moistened.
Beat egg whites with clean beater until stiff.
Fold into cake batter.
Turn into 2 greased 8" round layer pans.
Bake in 350F oven for about 30 to 35 minutes.
An inserted wooden pick should come out clean.
Cool.
