Colorado Chocolate Cake

3/4 cup sugar
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 ounce unsweetened chocolate
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoons butter or margarine
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
TOPPING:
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
4 tablespoons cocoa
1 cup coffee, cold
Servings: 6
1. Sift dry ingredients together in a bowl. Melt chocolate and butter in a 9 x 9 in. dish and heat in microwave oven at FULL POWER 1 minute. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk to the chocolate-butter mixture, mixing all by hand. Add vanilla.

2. Spread in 9 in. square pan. Scatter topping ingredients on top of batter in order given. Microwave at FULL POWER 4-5 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes. Makes 1 cake. Conventional range time: 30 minutes at 350F.
