Meatballs
2/3 Cup Fresh Breadcrumbs
3 TBL Milk
1/3 Cup Grated Parmesan
¼ Cup Finely Chopped Onion
3 TBL Chopped Fresh Basil
1 Lg Egg
1 Clove Garlic
¼ tsp Ground Black Pepper
½ Lb Sweet Italian Sausage
½ Lb Hamburger
1 Lb Ziti, cooked
Sicilian Marinara Sauce
2 TBL Olive Oil
1 ½ Cup Chopped Onion
2 Clove Garlic, minced
2 28 oz Cans Diced Tomatoes in Juice
4 TBL Chopped Fresh Basil
Meatballs:
Preheat over to 350. Oil baking sheet. Mix breadcrumbs and milk, and let stand for 5 minutes. Mix in parmesan, onion, basil, egg, garlic and
pepper. Add sausage and hamburger. Mix well. Form into 1 ¼" balls. Bake until light brown, about 30 minutes.
Sicilian Marinara Sauce
Heat oil on medium low. Saute onion until golden. Add garlic for 1 minute. Add tomatoes and basil, and bring to a boil. Simmer for 1 hour. Add salt
and pepper to taste.
