Golden Chiffon Cake

1 cup enriched flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup salad oil
3 egg yolks
1/4 cup + 2 tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
4 egg whites
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar

Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt into bowl.
Add oil, egg yolks and water.
Beat until smooth.
Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until very stiff.
Pour egg yolk mixture into whites, folding until blended.
Pour into ungreased pan.
Bake in 325F oven for 1 hour or until done.
Invert pan, hang until cool.
