I have a son-in-law who has it and its not something you can hide, he was forty when his degree in astronomy and chemistry, he has no personality, shows no emotions never very happy or sad at least never shows it. he's not of his surroundings he can live in a rat infested drug neighborhood and not even be aware that he is in a bad neighborhood, didn't care about his appearance, he has come over in a suit that looked like he had slept in the night before, hedoes things over and over like pacing when he is thinking, , he drives my daughter crazy sometimes, but he tries, I sometimes think he should be on social security, he can only teach two classes at a semester at a collage near here, also he has no common sence, although many people dont have common sence, also when he is driving he can get lost in a shoe box,lol, but, its true, I have been with him and he'll get lost everytime. I know it sounds like I'm bashing him but, you wanted to know about autism and this is some of the things that an autistic person has to live with.
