8Whole garlic heads
2/3Cup(s) olive oil
2Tbsp(s). chopped fresh thyme
1tsp(s). coarsely cracked pepper
1/2tsp(s). coarse salt
3/4Cup(s) chicken stock
fresh thyme sprigs
crust Italian bread slices
Preheat oven to 350’.
Peel off outer papery skin from garlic heads but do not separate or peel individual cloves.
Place garlic heads in small baking dish, drizzle oil over.
Top with chopped thyme, pepper and salt, add stock.
Cover and bake until garlic is tender, basting occasionally with stock, about 1 hour.
Uncover and bake until garlic is very tender, about 15 minutes more.
