Panfried Fish With Bacon


4 to 6 slices bacon
2 lbs fish fillets
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 egg
1 tbsp. water
1 cup Gold Medal flour or cornmeal

In large skillet, fry bacon until crisp. Drain bacon; reserve drippings in skillet. Season fish with salt and pepper. Blend egg and water; dip fish into egg, then coat with flour. Cook in hot bacon drippings over medium heat, turning to brown both sides, about 10 minutes. Serve with bacon.
