4 lb rump roast
1 cup water
1 onion - chunked
1 envelope onion soup mix
I put the roast in my 9" square cake pan in the toaster oven!
Bring meat to room temp
Roast at 500 degrees for 20 minutes (sears it)
Mix onion soup into water and pour in pan (not over the meat)
Add onions
Turn heat to 275 for 4 hours
Remove from oven and let sit for 30 minutes
Slice thin and serve with juice
