Method Saute Italian sausage in a large skillet over medium high heat until browned. With a slotted spoon, transfer sausage to crock-pot. In the same skillet, saute minced garlic, green pepper and onion until slightly tender. With a slotted spoon, transfer peppers and onions into slow cooker. Pour two cans of the stewed tomatoes into the slow cooker. Puree the other two cans and then add them to the slow cooker as well. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 6-7 hours. Sausage should no longer be pink inside. Season to taste with garlic salt
