Sweet Spiced Tea

Mildly spiced, sweet and satisfying. Good hot or cold.

6 cups water
1/4 - 1/3 cup granulated sugar.
4 whole green cardamom, bruised
4 whole cloves
1 cinnamon stick (4")
3 orange pekoe tea bags
Serves 4
Heat and stir first 5 ingredients in medium saucepan on medium-high until sugar is dissolved.
Bring to a boil.
Remove from heat.
Let stand for 15 minutes.
Add tea bags.
Bring to a boil on medium-high.
Reduce heat to medium-low.
Simmer, uncovered, for 3 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Strain through sieve into teapot.
Discard solids.
Makes about 5 cups.
Pour into 4 large mugs.

Serving suggestion:
Add a fresh cinnamon stick to your cup of tea for extra spice.
