Sweet, smooth, dark coffee -- cool and refreshing.

4 cups hot strong prepared coffee (see Note)
1/3 cup granulated sugar
4 cinnamon sticks (4" each)
6 whole cloves
1/4 cup coffee-flavored liqueur (such as Kahlua), 2oz.
Ice
Serves 4
Measure first 4 ingredients into medium bowl.
Stir until sugar is dissolved.
Chill for 1 1/2 to 2 hours until cold.
Strain coffee mixture through sieve into pitcher.
Discard solids.
Add liqueur.
Stir.
Makes about 4 cups.
Pour over ice in 4 medium glasses.

Note:
For extra-strong flavor, use espresso.

Variation (without alcohol):
Omit liqueur.
Use same amount of coffee-flavored syrup (such as Torani's).

Serving suggestion:
Garnish with fresh cinnamon sticks.
