Potato Gratin

5 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
4 medium onions, sliced
2 tablespoons margarine
1 teaspoon salt
1 dash pepper
dash of nutmeg
1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
1/2 cup whipping cream

1. Saute onions in margarine.

2. In shallow baking dish arrange potatoes and onions in layers. Sprinkle with garlic and spices in between layers.

3. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes.

4. Add whipping cream all over top. Increase temp to 400 bake for another 10-20 minutes.
