Okay, since Cream of Wheat is basically just like flour in many ways...it performs pretty much like flour and, sadly, the nutrition info is pretty similar too, I decided to try my favorite "old" FRENCH bread machine recipe and just replace the flour with COW. And lo and behold it came out fine. Here's the recipe. I made half of this since I don't seem capable of, er, let me say it is REALLY HARD for me to not eat ALL the bread I make in a day...
3 cups COW (I used regular COW, not whole grain)
1 1/2 warm water
1 T yeast
1 T of oil (optional)
1 T fructose
1 tsp salt
(I tossed in some sesame seeds)
Put all that in your bread machine in the appropriate order. I used the whole grain setting. This is such a simple recipe. You could vary it in various ways. I didn't measure the salt, fructose or oil very precisely....and like I said, I just made half a loaf. It rose very nicely.
