Cross Creek Hushpuppies

1 cup Corn Meal
1/2 tsp. Salt
1 clove Onion
1 whole Egg
1/4 cup Milk

Mix ingredients well, scoop with spoon and fry in oil until golden brown. Pat out the dough and then poke a hole in it so that it will be a more crispy crustwhich.

Note: Some people add corn, but you could no longer call them Hushpuppies.
