Recipe Feeder
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup (Karo)
1 Tbsp butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup peanuts
1 tsp baking soda


Combine sugar and syrup in a microwave safe bowl, stir. Microwave on high for 5 minutes. Add butter, vanilla and peanuts; stir. Microwave on high for 1 minute 25 seconds. Remove bowl from microwave and quickly stir in baking soda. Immediately pour mixture onto parchment paper, aluminum foil or a silpat. Spread into a rectangle and let cool for 1 hour. Break into pieces and enjoy!

Peanut Brittle Made In Microwave Oven

Approximate cooking time 13 to 14 minutes.

Yield: 1 lb.

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup white corn syrup
1 cup roasted, salted peanuts
1 tsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. baking soda

In a 1 1/2 qt casserole, stir together sugar and syrup. Heat 5 or 6 minutes.

Stir in peanuts. Heat for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring after 2 1/2 minutes.

Add butter and vanilla to syrup, blending well. Heat for 2 to 3 minutes. Peanuts will be lightly browned and syrup very hot.

Add baking soda and stir gently until light and foamy. Pour mixture onto lightly buttered cookie sheet. Cool 1 hour. When cool, break into small pieces and store in air-tight container.
