Double or triple this recipe and store in fridge or freezer for unexpected guests.
6 cups Crispix cereal
1 cup mini pretzels
1 cup salted dry roasted peanuts
6 tbsp. butter or hard margarine
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup honey
1 tsp. vanilla
Makes 8 cups snack mixture
Put cereal, pretzels and peanuts into large bowl.
Stir gently.
Measure next 3 ingredients into saucepan.
Heat on medium and stir until mixture boils.
Boil gently on medium-low without stirring for 5 minutes.
Stir in vanilla.
Remove from heat.
Pour hot syrup over cereal mixture.
Stir well to coat.
Transfer to large greased roaster.
Bake for 1 hour in 250F oven, removing every 15 minutes to stir.
Cool.
Store in airtight container.
Freezes well.
