2 tablespoons light Puerto Rican rum
1 (3 inch) piece of ginger, cut into thin rings
1 cup molasses
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice
1 cup SPICED Puerto Rican rum
In a large saucepan, bring 6 cups of water, light rum, ginger, molasses, and the lime juice to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from heat, and let cool. Strain and chill in refrigerator for several hours. Add the spiced rum and serve over ice with lime wedges.
