A nutritious mix you can use to make biscuits, muffins, pancakes, cakes, coffee cakes and quick breads.

8 cups enriched flour
3 cups non-fat dry milk powder
5 tbsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. salt
1/4 cup sugar
2 cups vegetable shortening or 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
Makes about 14 cups mix
Combine flour, dry milk powder, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Make well in center; pour vegetable oil.
Using a pastry blender, 2 knives or clean fingers, mix in oil with dry ingredients.
Mixture will be crumbly.
Store in tightly covered plastic or glass container with wide top.
Keep in refrigerator up to 4 weeks or in freezer for 3 months.
