1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups water
1/4 cup cornstarch
pinch salt
red food coloring-- a few drops
1 p;kg 3 oz strawberry Jello
fresh strawberries
baked pie shell
whipped cream for top
Combine sugar, water, cornstarch and salt. Cook over medium heat until it turns clear and thick. Remove from heat, add food coloring and then Jello. Stir well. Cool. Pour berries into baked pie shell, pour sauce over and chill. Top with whipped cream.
