2 1/2 lb round steak, 1-in/2-cm thick 1.1 kg
salt and pepper
flour
1 small onion, sliced 1
3 tbsp vegetable oil 45 mL
1/2 bell pepper, chopped 1/2
2 cups canned tomatoes 500 mL

Sprinke steak with salt and pepper, pound flour into it.

Cook onion in hot oil; brown steak in same oil.

Add other ingredients; cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours or bake for about 2 hours on 375°F/190°C.

Serve with the thickened gravy.

DELICIOUS!!!!! I serve this with rice or mashed potatoes...
