Clear, golden color with lightly spiced apple flavor. Soothing and warming.
6 cups apple cider
1 cup apple juice
8 whole allspice
2 cinnamon sticks (4", each)
1/2 cup spiced rum
3 tbsp. brandy
Serves 8
Measure first 4 ingredients into large saucepan.
Stir.
Heat on medium for 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until fragrant.
Add rum and brandy.
Stir.
Remove from heat.
Strain through sieve into heatproof pitcher.
Discard solids.
Makes about 7 cups.
Pour into 8 small mugs.
