A rich, dark, fragrant coffee. Perfect for after dinner.

2 cups hot strong coffee (see Note)
1/4 cup almond-flavored liqueur (such as Amaretto), 2oz.
2 tbsp. half-and-half cream (or milk)
2 tsp. brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup whipped cream (or frozen whipped topping, thawed)
1 tbsp. sliced almonds, toasted
Cocoa, sifted if lumpy (sprinkle)
Serves 2
Combine first 4 ingredients in 4 cup liquid measure or small heatproof pitcher.
Makes about 2 1/4 cups.
Pour into 2 large mugs.
Top each with whipped cream.
Sprinkle with almonds and cocoa over top.

Note:
For extra-strong flavor, use espresso.

Variation (without alcohol):
Omit liqueur.
Use same amount of almond-flavored syrup (such as Torani's).
