Apple Dumplings

Recipe Feeder
Dough:
2 Cups Flour
2 ½ tsp. Baking Powder
½ tsp. Salt
2/3 Cup Shortening
½ Cup Milk

6 apples peeled, cored and cut in halves.

Syrup:
2 Cups Brown Sugar
2 Cups Water
½ Cup Margarine
1 tsp. Cinnamon

Cut dry ingredients with the shortening like you would a pie crust, add the milk and mix until the dough comes together. Split the dough in half and roll out one of the halves in a rectangle. Cut it into 6 squares and cover an apple half w/ each square. Heat the ingredients for the syrup until the margarine and sugar are melted. Pour the syrup over the apple dumplings and bake @ 350 until the crust in brown and the apples are tender when you insert a knife or fork.
