2 broilers, cut up 2
1/4 cup butter 60 mL
3 cloves garlic, minced 3
1 onion, minced 1
1 cup ketchup 250 mL
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce 30 mL
1/4 cup cider vinegar 60 mL
1/4 cup sugar 60 mL
1 tsp salt 5 mL
1/2 cup water 125 mL
1/2 tsp savory 3 mL

Brown the chicken in melted butter. Lift out and place in a baking dish. Add the garlic, onion, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, cider vinegar, sugar, salt, water and savory to the butter in the frying pan. Pour this mixture over the chicken.

Cover and bake in a 350°F/180°C oven 1-1/4 hours. Baste 3 or 4 times during cooking.
