Good tips to cleaning a bathroom?

We just moved into a house and the bathroom is digusting, it's very dirty, the tub is clogged, and there is 2 spiders at any given time lurking around in the tub. Any tips on what works best to clean this sort of situation would help.

Get some Comet, and a scrub brush. Scrub it HARD. And pour some vinegar and baking soda down the drain (one at a time), that will clear it up.

Bleach is good, but if you want to be environmentally and lung friendly use white vinegar in the sink, toilet and bath. Bicarbonate of soda will neutralize smells too. I kid thee not. Also, when the bathroom is clean and being used the spiders should go away. If not find out where they nest & put them out in the shed or somewhere.

Get a Draino Gel for the tub, use the whole bottle. When you kill spiders, don't squish them on the wall or tub or whatever because eggs and come out and stay on the wall or wherever. So squish them in the paper towel. Just keep killing them unless you wanna call and exterminator.

was anyone living in the house before?if so, thats pretty rude of them to leave it like that.anyway, i really like lysol for everything (they use it in the hospital i work in) for the tub i would get some sort of unclogging liquid and use soft scrub with bleach with a green pad to scrub with. hopefully that will take care of the problem.

There is a product called Greased Lightening. No fumes and works really well. Start from the highest point in the room and really scrub walls and surfaces. Hot water first then rinse with cold water. Plan on repainting. You can use a clean, unused paint roller to wash the ceiling safely. Get a good scrub brush for around the tup, toilet, and sink. If the weather permits, leave the window open and leave a fan on in there to air it out.

With the tub, check where the clog is. If it is in the drain, snake it. Don't use the drain stuff without trying to snake it first. The best cleaner hands down is three parts bleach to one part water. Spray on and clean off.

i use mr.clean antibacterial (it's a blue liquid). i think that it works the best...you can put it in the toilet, in the shower, in the sink...it will get it all!

In reference to the spiders, they sell chemical sprays to take care of them. Maybe a few squirts around the room would help. It's sold with the rest of the home/garden insect sprays. You'll probably need to ventilate though, but it works good. I'd keep the kids/pets away from it until it dries.
