2 oz unsweetened chocolate 60 g
2-1/2 cups hot milk 600 mL
1/3 cup sugar 75 mL
1/4 tsp vanilla extract 1 mL
1/4 tsp salt 1 mL
1/4 tsp cinnamon, if desired 1 mL
1/4 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder, if desired 1 mL
1 cup heavy cream, whipped 250 mL
Break chocolate into pieces and place in blender container. Add hot milk, sugar, vanilla and salt. Cover and blend until chocolate is dissolved. Mix cinnamon and cocoa powder in a small dish. Pour hot chocolate into cups, top with whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon-cocoa mixture, if desired.
