2 tb Butter 1 c Milk or half & half
2 tb Flour

Nutmeg 2 tb Chopped chives
2 tb Chopped parsley 1 ts Lemon juice
In a one quart sauce pan, over low heat, melt butter. Add flour and stir
for 3 to 4 minutes or until well blended. Stir in milk slowly; cook,
stirring constantly until thickened and smooth. Add one or more of the
extras to alter the taste. Serve over vegetables or fish.
