Beat with wooden spoon until smooth:
1 4oz. pkg. soft cream cheese
Gradually blend in:
1 1/2 cup sifted icing sugar
1 cup vanilla wafer crumbs
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup chopped maraschino cherries
Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour. Shape into 1" balls and roll in wafer crumbs.
