2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
6 Tablespoons cocoa
1 cup melted butter
1 cup water
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
Combine all dry ingredients; add butter, water, buttermilk, eggs and vanilla. Blend well. Pour mixture into greased and floured 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350
degrees for 20 minutes.
Icing:
1/2 cup butter
6 Tablespoons cocoa
6 teaspoons buttermilk
1 pound. powdered sugar
1 cup pecans
Melt butter with cocoa, buttermilk and powdered sugar, mix together to smooth consistency.
Pour over cooled cake. Top with pecans.
