1 pkg. Betty Crocker fudge brownie mix with can of chocolate syrup
1/4 cup shortening
2 eggs
2 cups pecan or walnut halves
1 tub Betty Crocker creamy deluxe vanilla or chocolate ready to spread frosting
Heat oven to 375.
Mix brownie mix (dry), chocolate flavor syrup, shortening and eggs. Stir in pecans. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2" apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until set, 8 to 10 minutes. Cool 2 to 3 minutes before removing from cookie sheet. Cool completely. Frost with frosting. Garnish each cookie with pecan or walnut half if desired.
Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
