Dates Cake With Toffee Topping

Ingredients

* For the cake you need:
* - 1 cup dates, seeds removed
* - 11 / 2 cups flour
* - 1 cup sugar
* - 1 cup warm water
* - 2 teaspoon baking soda
* - 200 g unsalted butter,room temperature
* - 1 teaspoon vanilla liquid
* - 5 eggs (I used 4 eggs)
* - 1 teaspoon baking powder
* - 1 teaspoon cinnamon, crushed
*
* For the Toffee Topping you need :
* - 1/2 Cup of sugar
* - 1/4 cup oil Or 50g unsalted butter
* - 1 Nestle Cream can 170 gr

Directions

1. Prepare the oven temperature 170 C
2. The cake :
3. Put the dates in a bowl and add the warm water on it mix it until the mixture becomes like porridge then add the baking soda , and mix it.
4. you will see that the color mixture become Lighter.
5. In another bowl add the sugar, butter and flour mix it with the cake mixer for five min then add the vanilla liquid and the eggs, mix it for two min then add the baking powder, cinnamon and the dates mixture .
6. Mix it for five min.
7. Prepare the baking pan by covering it with oil and flour so the cake will not stuck in the pan.
8. Add the cake mixture in it, put in the oven for 45 min
9. When the cake is ready let it cool and start with the Toffee topping.

11. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter add the sugar and mix it until the sugar also melt and get a light gold color , low the heat and add the Nestle Cream mix until it's become like a sauce without any small pieces in it.
